About us ...
We share 240 acres in rural Iowa with full
blood Australian Lowline and Registered Angus Cattle. I can barely reflect on a
single childhood memory that does not involve cattle or include cattle shows. We
have shared our lives with many exceptional females that have performed in the
pasture and in the show ring. Their phenotype, style, maternal traits, and
overall performance make our job easier. They have inspired us to follow our
hearts and strive for greatness within the Lowline breed. We both share a
passion for registered livestock and a zest for competition as we have
campaigned many champions and continue to do so in the worlds of purebred sheep
and cattle.
We have the same clear goals in mind for our
Lowline cattle that have allowed us to gain success in our other endeavors.
Phenotype is very important to us, and we have strong ideals within the breed
standard of what appeals to us. Style, function, calving ease, maternal traits,
and a well bred female are paramount in our program as well. We share our lives
and our farm with these females because of our devotion to the breed’s future
and because we enjoy it. As a veterinary technician, I feel very strongly about
health and overall genetics. We will not waiver on the importance of health,
genetics, or function. Nutrition is a tremendous aspect of overall health and
performance and in turn quality of life for these cattle as well. We would be
glad to share our philosophy on this with you.
We hope you
might enjoy our website and if you share our passion for Lowline and Angus
Cattle, we would love to hear from you. We have every intention of embarking on
this adventure with true dedication and a strong desire to absorb all of the
knowledge and experiences that we encounter upon the way.
Jeff, Jennifer, Lilly, & Linsey Roe
